Decorating Contest

Maidstone Pride, in collaboration with One Maidstone, is excited to announce a vibrant initiative to celebrate Pride month throughout June. Local businesses and shops in the town centre are actively invited to decorate their windows in colourful displays that celebrate diversity and inclusion.

The window decorating contest aims to spread awareness and support for the LGBTQIA+ community, fostering a sense of unity and acceptance within Maidstone. Participating businesses are encouraged to unleash their creativity, using rainbow themes, Pride flags, and inspiring messages that resonate with the spirit of Pride.

The judging will look at creativity, originality, and the ability to convey messages of equality and acceptance. Judges from One Maidstone, Maidstone Pride a Maidstone Drag Queen will take a tour of the town during June. The winner of the contest will be announced at the end of June, with the business winner being crowned as Maidstone Pride Creative Window Winner of 2025.

Local residents and visitors are encouraged to explore the town centre throughout June to admire the displays and show their support for the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether shopping, dining, or simply strolling through town, everyone is invited to enjoy the vibrant Pride-themed windows and events organised throughout the town.
