Celebrate Diversity and Togetherness

Maidstone Pride is an annual LGBTQIA+ Celebration brought to the County Town throughout the whole month of June, with events for all ages.

Our History

A committee of young people were responsible for bringing the first Pride Event to Maidstone on Saturday 22nd June 2024. A young and diverse group of 12-23 year olds were mentored through the process of putting on the Pride event by local youth workers, contributors and sponsors giving them access to a vast range of skills and materials required to put on such an event.

The 2024 Maidstone Pride event included a parade through the centre of Maidstone Town Centre, followed by a festival-style gathering at the Lockmeadow Leisure Complex that included performances, entertainment, refreshments and a quiet space that ensured comfort and a welcome for everyone.

The day was an astounding success, unlike anything Maidstone has seen before, with a safe and lively atmosphere created by organisers and attendees alike.

In 2025, Maidstone Pride returned to deliver a month-long calendar of LGBTQIA+ events, with a dedicated team of volunteers, supported by a wide range of organisations who also facilitated their own events in collaboration with Maidstone Pride.

For 2026, we return for our third annual celebration to deliver a calendar of LGBTQIA+ events suitable for all ages (including our family-friendly festival!). We are also aiming to continue Maidstone Pride into the future as a dedicated community-led Pride festival, but to achieve this long-term aim we require support from local individuals, communities, organisations, and businesses to help ensure the longevity of Maidstone’s very own LGBTQIA+ Celebration!
