What happening?

Harmony will be teaming up with Maidstone Pride for an exciting new event, focusing on queer musicians.
Throughout the month of June, Harmony will be holding a Battle of the Bands, specifically for musicians under 25 who perform original music! Focusing on the LGBTQIA+ community, we aim to create a friendly competition which will support Maidstone Pride’s 2026 activities. If this sounds like your thing why not sign up! (Link to sign up form)

Each week will bring a new round, with the final taking place in the last week of June. The dates are as follows;
Heat 1- Wednesday 3rd June 2026
Heat 2- Wednesday 10th June 2026
Heat 3- Wednesday 17th June 2026
Final- Wednesday 24th June 2026

Every heat will have 3 different bands playing their own original music. Out of these three, one band will go through to the final. This means that by the final Wednesday in June there will be 3 finalists- they will battle it out between each other!

Every band that performs at the event will get a free live recording of their favourite song from their set, and the winning band or artist will win a chance to record their music in a studio! We want to remain as inclusive as possible, and show our appreciation for all the talent these people have!

You can get involved by scanning the QR code on our promotional poster, or visiting either the Harmony or Maidstone Pride website!

*Disclaimer*
Subject to demand- not all applicants will receive a slot. This depends on the amount of applications we get. Priority will be given to bands with LGBTQIA+ members.
